ika nga sa wikang ingles, "Let's cut to the chase."

4. The Last Piece - Eto yung sa handaan o kaya kahit hindi party eh, yung tipong nagdinner or nag lunchout lang na ambagan. May makikita kang 1 pirasong siomai o kaya lumpia.

Mr Pogi TV: Understanding Ghost Month: The Do's and Don'ts

Are you scared?

In the Chinese culture, Ghost Month is observed during the 7th lunar month of the year. Lunar calendar is different from the Filipino Calendar. It falls somewhere in August to September. It's the time of the year in the Chinese culture it is believed that the Gates of Heaven is Opened for the hungry ghosts to visit and wander around spontaneously, they look for places to eat and drink.

They look for water or sometimes beer (just kidding).

It is like the "All Souls Day" in the Philippines, but for this year the Ghost Festival will be on September 5, 2017, but it will be observed between August 22nd - September 19th.

In my personal note, Ghost Month has a different energy in all of the months, it is better to avoid major activities.

here are some..

Some Do's and Don'ts

Do Not Take Long Trips - it is believed that ghosts will show up in the backseat of your car and will make you scared and smash your car in a tree. So buckle up buddy! Take care when you are driving, avoid breaking the rules, for your bones will break if you do.

Do Not Make Big Purchases - if you are planning to buy a brand new house or a brand new car or a pre-owned one, delay it first. Misfortune will come your way. Ghosts will stay inside that house (they like new houses too you know!)

Do Not Build or Renovate Houses - Just like making big purchase, those big activities are eye catching to the ghosts.

Do Not Start a Business or Sign Business Deals (big or small) - Misfortune will come when you start a business during ghost month. Better to wait after the ghost month. Things can wait ok? There’s a huge chance for bankruptcy or failed business during this period.

Does Not Transfer Office - This is also a brand new activity; this is also a major one so avoid transferring to avoid misfortune in your office.

Do Not Swim - it is believed that ghosts will look for water for they are so thirsty. You want a ghost to drag you down under the pool or sea?

Do Pray - pray for them, I know you are not a church goer, but pray for them alright?

Just be careful during Ghost month ok? Have a strong mindset and always pray before you leave the house.

Mr Pogi TV Food Review: Wagamama Biñan Branch

(Photo taken by: Ma. Emilie Anne Bartolo)

WagamAmazing!

It's been a while since I last ate at a decent coffee shop. Yung feels ko dito naamaze ako eh? My girlfriend and I ate here last saturday night (August 5, 2017) around 8 PM.

Pag pasok namin naamaze ako, upon entering sa left side nila located yung up and down cozy spot nila, sayang taken na yung spot na yun parang ako, so we went to somewhere close to the counter. The place was so nice, cozy feeling and environmentally enticingly ang dating sa dami ng halaman na decors nila. So nag order ako, I forgot to withdraw some money so I asked them if nag dedebit card ba sila kasi hindi. 😭 Luckily I have some money, I was seriously hungry that night as well as my girlfriend.

Sinuggest sakin ni kuya barista yung sandwich na to, so I ordered this super sulit sandwich called: "Tokyo Tower" for only 155 pesos good for 2 na.

Yung nasa left side, potato chips yun! Nicely done siya and eto siya:

Champion eh! Good for 2 diba? Good for your Small Intestines and your Large Intestines! 😂

Meron siyang ham, bacon, lettuce, cheese, tomato, bread and bbq sticks!

Swear champion.

Alternative siya ng clubhouse sandwich.

Also for my drink I ordered their frappe called "Mt. Fuji" for only 129 pesos. See? Connected pa din sa Kita Kita eh!

So di ko natiis kinain ko yung marshmallow before I took a picture of it. It consists of Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, sprinkles ng unicorn and the whipped cream.

So next I asked my girlfriend if ano gusto niya, sabi niya pesto daw eh kasi healthy sh** yun, so ayan umorder siya ng "Basil Pasta With Grilled Chicken" for only 129 pesos.

Legit dahon guys, swear ang sarap neto. Hindi naguumapaw yung pesto oil neto. Champion!

Then I asked her ano gusto niyang drink, aba gusto niya Hot Choco for only 79 pesos 12 oz na!

Legit eh.

So ayan ang drinks namin:

Sabi ko sa sarili ko may kulang, gusto ko ng appetizer, so I ordered this Nachos pero solo lang kasi may bad experience na ako sa nachos sa ibang resto eh, their Nachos costs 79 pesos only!

At eto yun:

Panalo mga friendships, feeling ko kausap ko si Jack Black from Nacho Libre movie niya habang kinakain ko to. At yung solo nila panalo na parang good for two na! Nakita ko yung good for 2 nila na nachos at mukhang good for 4.

Di kami nag intay ng matagal actually, saktong sakto yung serving nila (I don't know if di kasi ganun karami ang tao kaya di toxic eh) pero ang swerte namin that night.

Naalala ko tuloy si Xian Gaza, yung billboard niya na "I don't know how to ESPRESSO".

Syempre papicture din ako.

At syempre siya din.

As you can see, self service ang water nila, for the dessert, di na kami nakapag try pero ayun sa left side located at mukhang yummmmeeehh!

My experience at WAGAMAMA was Wagamazing! The staff were nice and accommodating, food was amazing, the place was soothing and calming, feel ko gumawa ng mga sinusulat ko dun, also they offer board games upon request.

Will definitely go back there, I recommend this place to my fellow millennials.

To my friends, tara dalhin ko kayo dito.

They have 2 branches, the other one is located at Pacita.

Mr Pogi TV Movie Review: Kita Kita (I see you)

Movie Review: Kita Kita

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kita Kita. (I see you)

First off i want to congratulate the cast and crew of this film. GOOD JOB!

This review will be short like me and Empoy. I will try not to spoil a thing so don't worry!

One, the story. It is a predictable type of love story (for me ok?) I kind of predicted the end but I did not expect the feels. Like seriously I was like 'oh f*** no sh**'. Having a story like this in the Philippine cinema is like gambling a lot. People are not used in this kind of story in my opinion, but I love how the story went.

Two, the sequence. 2 things came into my mind, 1st, the feeling for me was like watching Christopher Nolan's film where in the movie, the past, the present and the future simultaneously meet. I like how they presented it, it was not boring, it did not made me yawn and I have to hold my bladder to not miss any scenes! 2nd it was unique. Im tired of how movies were presented today in the Philippine Cinema.

Three, the characters. Tonyo and Lea were the most notable characters for me in there. I asked myself what if Piolo Pascual or John Lloyd Cruz portrayed Tonyo? There will be "kilig" feels but it will not be so much "kilig" on how Empoy portrayed Tonyo. The way Empoy presented it was so natural, he was quick witted, funny and amazing. Alesandra who portrayed Lea was also awesome, I do have a crush on Alessandra since High School! Seeing her in the movie got me excited. Her portrayal in the movie was believable. I remembered Charlie Coxx from the Netflix Daredevil right away. I won't explain any further to not spoil anything.

Four, the music. It was chill type, especially when the Two Less Lonely People in The World plays with KZ Tandingan's cold voice queues. God, it was perfect, the score and everything. Where is the OST ? Hit me up in the comment section please?

Five, the cinematography. The long shots, the camera panning, the bokeh-ish shots, uggghhh it was amazing. It was comforting and it was done professionally and by that it resulted on serving the story well. Notable scene for me there is the house of Lea and Tonyo. It both showed how the world is to Lea, showed the world how the world is to Tonyo and showed the world how the world is with both Lea and Tonyo.

Six, the setting. You can really tell if a movie was made here in the Philippines or if it is outside our country. Well this one it was made in Japan. All throughout it was shot in Japan. It was a brave attempt for the filmmakers to spend money on a film that is kind of experimental. Also my dream place is Japan!

Seven, the Feels. It was striking, it was funny, it was heart breaking, it was exciting, it was thrilling, it has everything that I could ask for in a love story movie. One notable feel for me in this film was it was funny. The way Lea laughed so natural when Tonyo is cracking some jokes. It was natural.

Eight, the effect. You know how a movie is successful when it is still the talk of the town. The effect of that film still bugs me. It also changed how the people viewed Empoy. Like how the society today has been searching for the boy next door who is cute or handsome, but in reality it is the nice, romantic and funny guy that we need.

Nine, the message. The message of the film to the people was simple but yet they presented it uniquely. The message was just "You did not notice me when you were able to see me, but when you were not able to see, you actually saw who I really am." Love is blind, it doesn't matter if you are short, skinny, ugly, beautiful, sexy, and fat. What matters most is the person inside. Looks fade, but who we are inside will remain no matter what. This film will teach you how to love and how to love again.

Ten, the chemistry. I don't know about you but I saw a great chemistry between Alex and Empoy. It was amazing. It was like they defeated KathNiel, LizQuen and many more. AlemPoy is the new loveyeam of 2017 #AlemPoy. I will never see another movie again of Alex without Empoy as her leading man. Who would've thought that Captain Blu will be a leading man today named Tonyo.

So I gave this film a 5 out of 5, it deserve that score! A romantic comedy that didn't go mainstream for actors and actresses and a story that isn't the usual, predictable yet didn't leave us hanging, it was satisfyingly heart achingly good. This is the end of my review, leave a comment below and subscribe to my blog.

Alright?

Adios! (Two Less Lonely People In The World fades in background)

Mr Pogi TV: 10 Tips on How to Be Thrifty

How thrifty are you?

Well me, I am really thrifty. Like seriously thrifty. I remember back at my first job, they used to sell a cup of rice for 2 pesos. Imagine that 2 pesos, and i'm going to ask the server to put some toppings on it (where you put the sauce of a viand on top of the rice and you get to taste the deliciousness of that food without even paying a dime for it). Then after paying for my rice, I go down to the soup station where I get to pour soup at a little bowl and if i'm lucky enough a piece of meat will come and if i'm not lucky, sometimes a piece of ginger which disguises like a meat, but then again it's only for 2 pesos!

People have noticed my thriftiness today, especially when they ask me if do I want to buy some food and do I want to join them. I'll tell them "i'll pass this time". That's for about 5 days a week. In 3 weeks. For a month. I'm contented with what I bring from our house. Sometimes it's not healthy anymore.

I'm thrifty because I want to save some money. I like to see my bank account rise up. Seeing my bank account less from what I expect, I get depressed and makes me want to rob a piggy bank. Just kidding. Going back, In every payday I make sure to save almost more than half of my own salary. For example if you earn about 12,000 every month, so that's about 6,000 every cut off. Upon receiving the 6,000 you must set your budget already, for bills, food, allowance and daily expenses, and then you must save the remaining amount and lock it away!

Always remember to buy what you need, not what you want. But if you really want something, you have to make sure the pros and cons of it and you must have an extra cash so that you won't damage your very own savings.

So does that make me rich? No. Not even close. Because I'm only saving money, not growing it, soon i'll start investing for my money to grow.

Going down to the topic, how to be thrifty? I can teach you ways only if you are open to my suggestions.

Listen up.

  • Buy what you need, not what you want.
as I've said up there, you need to ask yourself these questions: "Do I need it?" "Will it be useful in time?" "Will i earn from it in time?" "Will it make me happy?" "Will I suffer from financial loss after buying it?" etc... spend your money wisely, don't be like someone I know who is a one Day millionaire.

  • Save money every month.
If you are a student and you have your allowance, try to save 60% of your allowance, for example your Dad (not your sugar daddy) gave you about 8,000 a month, save at least 4,800. If you are an employee and you earn 12,000 a month! Save at least 7,200 a month. Well that is my opinion. You can save 30% or less, it's up to you, alright?

  • Open a savings account.
Choose a bank that you like, put your money in there, if you can make it a passbook it's cool so that you won't be able to withdraw your money anytime that you want. If you want an ATM, it's cool also. Just save your money in the bank, have the guts to go straight to a bank, beautiful and handsome Bank Tellers are waiting for you.

  • Learn to budget.
If you don't know how to budget, then learn how to budget! List your monthly expenses may it be your allowance, bills, transportation, food and your nightly beering moments. Put it in a paper or a notebook and track down your expenses for you to have an organized list, so that you won't wonder where your cash have gone.

  • Think about the pros and cons.
It's like number 1, but here, i'm going to explain to you why. When buying something expensive and you can't think if it is a need or a want (well sometimes I get that dilemma). Think about the pros, for example you want to buy a new car what are the pros of buying a new car? Comfortability? Easy access? Now think about the cons. Maintenance every month? Insurance? Papers? Parking? Now think about that.

  • Learn to say NO.
When your friends tell you that they will drink for celebration and asks if you would like to come, stop and count to 3 and decide NO, or when someone tells you to treat them because it's payday, say NO. Easily saying no means less damage to your wallet. You wallet will thank you later.

  • Stop buying expensive coffee unless..
You have some extra cash. I will be a little biased here, I myself is a coffee addict, sometimes I go for the cheapest one for I just need the caffeine, but sometimes I do go to coffee shops and buy some expensive coffee to taste it and for I get my creative juices inside a coffee shop and I don't know why! If you want to spend some time at a coffee shop and you don't have anything planned for the day,it's ok if you have extra cash. It's either you go back home and buy a 6 pesos sachet of a 3 in 1 Kopiko and do your thing there, or you can spend a hundred for a coffee in your favorite coffeeshop (Starbucks, J.Co, Bo's Coffee, Coffee Bean Tea & Leaf etc...) capiche? But if you don't have any extra, go buy at Aling Nena's store a 3 in 1 coffee or buy 2 of it if you want it strong. So strong that you want to run a 50K nonstop.

  • Always go for the small size.
They say that SIZE DOESN'T MATTER right? Well for this one it's true. This is also a benefit for people who is trying to lose weight! Whenever Mark or Joy from Jollibee, Eric or Cherry from McDonald's asks you "would you like to upsize?" Just say No and tell them you are trying to lose some weight.

  • Bring your own Lunch.
prepare your food the night before or wake up early. Either way, bring your own food and avoid buying food especially when you brought one already. This will save you a big amount of money.

  • Control.
Lastly learn to control yourself buddy. That's it. It doesn't matter if you're craving for it, it doesn't matter how badly you want it, bottom line is that it is you who will have the last decision from it. If you learn how to control it, you will be thrifty as hell.

So that's it, try to follow those 10 things and you will be rich! Just kidding.

Mr Pogi TV: Remember Who You Are

Getting sleepless nights thinking about who you are and what do you truly want is not something that comes overnight and changes your life. There is no magic pill in this, for sometimes life has a way to discourage you in what you want to do until you come to the point that you'll say "oh fuck it maybe it is never meant for me, I quit." The moment that you give up is the moment that you say NO to your dreams. In my theory, the future is never truly set for the universe is endless with our thoughts. They say that the mind can achieve anything. For the past few weeks i've been waking up at 3 AM and find it hard to sleep with my thoughts running like a mile. I feel restless without doing anything. I started writing (typing) today and to let this out of my mind, my mind is like a raging lion, it is hungry today, wanting to hunt, wanting to feed. I find it weird that my 8 hour job that is stressful as hell is boring me. Something is bothering me today and no one seem to understand me. I think what is really bothering me is the fact that i'm getting to know myself more, knowing that i have the potential to become someone else, something else. If only i could live in the woods in Canada like wolverine did, but no shit, i have to live this life knowing that i am meant for something more today than what i knew yesterday. The future is never truly set, even if a future me pops up and tells me that I am a billionaire in the year 2029, I might not even believe him, for how stubborn I am today, I might not do what he tells me to do, but who knows? What if he tells me the right plans? for sure i wont have to worry for I know I will end up like Bill Gates. What's the point of living if you already know what you will become? That is why there are risks or a gamble, where you bet on something and hope and pray to God that it will come up as good. You will have to be liable in every actions that you do in life and it will shape you to become who you are in the future.

Sometimes, You do know who you are and what you want, but practicality keeps you from doing it. Why stop you from it?  Because you are scared of what might happen? You are scared of what will happen? We were born in this world and was taken care of by our parents or guardians showing us how cruel the world is, that we must study hard to have a better job , to buy shit that we want to impress the people that we don't like. The problem is you never truly know your potential unless you take risk from it. That is why only few people have dared to jump over the leap of faith, took bruises and scars and now they tell stories that inspires little minds to get big someday.

This will be the end of my thoughts for now, I will try and search for the feeling that will satisfy the lion mind that I have today. For maybe I never truly know myself yet, or maybe I know but won't accept it yet.
